20/20 Vision

Well, I guess it's all about perspective. One might look at this year and say 'it's been crappy." But I've decided to have an intentional new lens and view this as a year of clarity. Get it, 20/20 :)

I want to encourage all of you to look at each day as a new beginning and not spend another minute wishing this year away. We can't live waiting for tomorrow because this pandemic has clearly shown us that tomorrow is not promised.

How can we turn our thinking around and try to see the value in the current moment? So many didn't get to wake up today. It would almost feel selfish of me not to approach this day like a new opportunity to learn something, do something, or say something to encourage and uplift others.

So yes, while we battle the current political landscape, worldwide pandemic and social apathy, let's try to control what we can -- our own thinking and our own actions. And instead of beating ourselves up, let's put Poet Maya Angelou's words in action. "Do the best you can until you know better. Then, when you know better, do better."
